What's happening at the Westview Animal Sanctuary
On Saturday night November 9, 2002 a tornado came with in 100 yards of the Sanctuary and Community Center (the sanctuary is located behind the center) and caused some damaged. Two of the pens were damaged. One was leveled and another one sustained some damaged. No dogs were killed or hurt. I found them having fun with there freedom. I had just reworked a make shift pen so I was able to have room for all the dogs.
I have added some more pictures to the "More Pictures" link.
To Donate - Donations can be sent to the Carroll County Humane Society at P.O. Box 384, McKenzie, TN. 38201 Please remember to mark it to go the Westview Animal Sanctuary. Thanks for your support
I will accept Can dog Food. Can dog food can be taken to the Carroll County Humane Society Shelter in McKenzie. Please let them know that the can food is to go to the Westview Animal Sanctuary or email the Keeper of the Webpage at the bottom of the page.
Another weather Update at the sanctuary. February 3rd a cold front came through with some high winds and played havoc with a tarp on one of the pens. Nothing major and it got fixed. On February 6 and 7 we dodged a bullet. A 5 inch snow fell and all my tarps that cover the dog pens held up to the weight. This is good. I hope to have wood roofs on the pens sometime in the future and when money becomes availible.
